Ocean County Housing Expo This Weekend

Each year, thousands of New Jersey families face the possibility of losing their homes through foreclosure.  Others are struggling to get mortgages.  Whether you're looking to find a loan for your first home, planning to sell your existing home, moving from being a renter to an owner or are trying to fight to stay in your home, a special expo this weekend could provide you with a clear road map.

The Ocean County Housing Expo is being held this Saturday from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. at the Ocean County College campus in Toms River.  3rd District Congressman Jon Runyan is serving as the host.  It isn't the first time he's held this type of event.  Recently, one was held in Burlington County.

Runyan says "many families are unaware of how the foreclosure process works, how to avoid it and what their options are.  Those first time home buyers sometimes get put into situations where things are unclear due to communication problems.  That's why we are holding this event."

Representatives from several federal, state, and local agencies will be in attendance, along with loan services, and housing counseling agencies.

Runyan adds "we are hoping to help families gain a better understanding of their options, as well as what resources are available through private lenders and the federal government to assist them."

If you want to meet with a loan officer one on one, you must first make an appointment.
