Robert Marone, 69, awaits extradition back to New Jersey following Friday's arrest by Fort Lauderdale police.

Marone was charged with aggravated sexual assault on a minor in Ocean County in 1992. He was also sought by the state Parole Board for a parole violation connected to a 1971 murder conviction.

State troopers say that the arrest followed within an hour of a call to their tip line (800-437-7839) that helped pinpoint his whereabouts.

Police say the caller had learned that Marone was living under an alias for more than a decade and a half, and claimed to have researched text and photos on Internet postings including New Jersey's 12 Most Wanted List.
