Keep your eyes to the sky this weekend, as the annual Lyriad meteor shower hits its peak and weather conditions should make for perfect viewing!

With a quarter moon setting relatively early and few clouds expected over the next few days, the combination of dark and clear skies should make it easy to spot a few shooting stars.

The Lyrid meteor shower peaks late Friday night and into early Saturday morning, but that doesn't mean that those are the only times that you can see meteors.

I've been plenty vocal about my love of the night sky over the years, so I truly can't encourage you enough to find somewhere nice and dark, grab a blanket (and a jacket, it's going to be chilly at night this weekend!), lay back, relax, and enjoy the show!
