Hanlon-Schron joins a growing number of women recognized by NJWLE for service above and beyond the call of duty.

She was one of about 200 attendees at the group's annual Leadership Training Conference at the Rutgers University Visitors' Center on the Busch Campus. This year's theme was "Police Community Relations - Moving Forward Together."

NJWLE includes women and men in its membership. Founded in 2004 by law enforcement officials from the local, county, state and federal levels, the organization strives to enhance the mission of law enforcement through diversity and collaboration.

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato calls Hanlon-Schron a role model for all attorneys in the county. "This is a proud moment for my office," he said in a prepared statement. "The citizens of New Jersey and I are truly blessed to have such a gifted, dedicated professional working within law enforcement."

The Fairleigh Dickinson University and Brooklyn Law School alumnus began her career in 1988 as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, handling appeals and juvenile matters and moving on to jury trials and plea negotiations.

She migrated to the Ocean County Prosecutor's office in 1993, taking charge of the then-new Sex Crimes and Child Abuse team. While supervising it, she rose up the ranks to Trial Team Leader, Chief Trial Attorney and Executive Assistant Prosecutor.
