New Law Allows Central Regional To Bypass Voters

A new state law allowing school districts to move their budget and board member elections to November could be just the thing the Central Regional school district needs. Reports say school board members approved the move during a recent school board meeting. In so doing, the district, which almost always has its budget rejected by voters, won't have to get voter approval for their spending plan unless it exceeds the state's 2 percent tax cap.
