My New Breakfast Fav!

It's always a good morning with a cup of java and a good scone

A scone is a single-serving cake or quick bread. They are usually made of wheat, barley or oatmeal, with baking powder as a leavening agent, and are baked on sheet pans. They are often lightly sweetened and are occasionally glazed. The scone is a basic component of the cream tea or Devonshire tea. It differs from a teacake and other sweet buns, which are made with yeast. A scone is not a type of pastry.

 

So Ive decided my current favorite breakfast is the scone! They are simply a great taste, and not too sweet! Pair the scone with a good cup of coffee and you have a simple, but awesome way to start the day.  I really don't have a favorite, but the "cranberry" scone is quite good. Blueberry, apple, raisin and even plain scones are all good.

FYI ... This morning it was and apple - cinnamon scone , very good! and for the record Georgeanne Frajkor makes a fantastic scone ( Hint Hint ) lol
