FREEHOLD - Bail remains at $1.5 million dollars for a Lincroft man charged with his wife's murder and 44 year old Patrick Allen must also surrender his passport, according to a Superior Court judge in Freehold today. According to published reports, a member of the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office told the court that Kimberly Allen died of blunt force trauma to her head and strangulation Friday during a dispute with her husband over finances. Patrick Allen was given til Friday to file for a bail reduction hearing that would be heard in two weeks.

TRENTON - In Trenton today, Debra Winger and Mark Ruffalo joined hundreds of people trying to roadblock natural gas drilling in the Delaware River Watershed. Activists say hydraulic fracturing would threaten drinking water for about 15 million people. Fracking releases gas from subsurface shale with chemicals and sand. The regulations need three votes for approval by the Delaware River Basin Commission. The Governors of New York and Delaware oppose it.

BARNEGAT - Barnegat police become the first in Ocean County to reach full compliance with standards of commission on accreditation of law enforcement agencies. The achievement fulfills a challenge given by Chief Art Drexler two years ago. The commission reviewed procedures, rules, policies and practices and conducted a three-day on-site assessment before issuing its decision Saturday in Virginia. Only nine local police forces in New Jersey have earned the status.

JACKSON - Jackson Police are searching for an a Chevy Tahoe they believe was involved in a hit and run with a 13 year old boy Saturday night. Police say the teenager was crossing at the intersection of North County Line Road and Bennett Mills Road between 9PM and 10PM when a car turning at the red light struck him. According to published reports he was taken to a hospital by a parent where he was treated for a severe ankle sprain. Police are searching for a new model dark Tahoe with New Jersey license plates, anyone with info should contact Officer Falzarano 732-928-1111

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP (AP) -- Police locked down a resort for three hours after employees reported a man walked through the lobby with a gun. Galloway Township Police Chief Patrick Moran told The Press of Atlantic City employees at the Seaview Resort spotted the man at 7 p.m. Sunday. He was seen holding a long gun, possibly a rifle, and was wearing a hat and a bandanna covered his face. The man exited the building and was not located. Police and a State Police helicopter searched the area. Officers reviewed the resort's surveillance video and hope to release a picture Monday.

MANCHESTER - Manchester police are investigating two cases of vehicles striking buildings. On Friday 71 year old Blanca Cordona of Whiting was pulling into a parking space next to Congressman Steve Smith's office, when the vehicle accelerated forward, hitting a steel pole, a small fence, and made contact with the building. On Sunday a car driven by 79 year old Bernice Kropkowski struck the garage of a home on Cambridge Circle. The driver wasn't injured and the home's residents were not home at the time of the accident.
