Meridian Health expands into Middlesex County

Meridian Health extends its reach into Middlesex County with the addition of Raritan Bay Medical Centercampuses in Old Bridge and Perth Amboy.

The merger, which Meridian President and CEO John Lloyd discussed on WOBM at the onset of talks in 2014, extends the company's reach to an estimated 1,500,000 people, according to a story posted at nj.com.

Meridian is also reportedly in talks to enter Bergen County with the acquisition of Hackensack University Medical Center.

The company's shore holdings include Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, Ocean Medical Center in Brick, Southern Ocean Medical Center in Stafford, Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, and Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.
