The Hunger Games Opens In Theatres Nationally This Weekend

One of the most anticipated movies of the year is "The Hunger Games" and it opens this weekend. Already the movie has almost 3 1/2 million fans on facebook! Advance ticket sales are in the thousands with many theatres expecting sell-out crowds.

The Hunger Games is a young adult novel written by Suzanne Collins. It was first published on September 14, 2008

Fans who don't get enough from the book or at theatres can travel to North Carolina where the movie was filmed to sign up for "survival tours" . On the tour they learn archery, how to use camouflage, shoot a slingshot, build a fire and walk quietly through the forest. "The Hunger Games Fan Tour" also includes a competition where the winner gets a prize!
