Survivors of the devastating Nepal earthquake receiving humanitarian aid are getting a good portion of it through the efforts of service men and women from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

Aircraft and crew members of the 305th Air Mobility Wing took a C-17 Globemaster III cargo carrier to Dover Air Force Base and the 436th Airlift Wing, where it was loaded with about 70,000 pounds of supplies from the Fairfax County Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Team.

The 69-member squad also flew to Nepal on the C-17, which refueled in midair courtesy of the 32nd Air Refueling Squadron and a KC-10 Extender craft.
