Not long after they return from the Tournament of Roses Parade, the Jackson Memorial High School Jaguar Marching Band jwill be performing in the 57th Presidential Inaugural Parade.

According to the Asbury Park Press, Band Leader Bud McCormick learned they were selected among 2,800 applicants by the inaugural committee to play in Washington D.C. following the swearing in of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

McCormick told the paper that they will play "God Bless America" and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" during the Monday, January 21st event.

Since the traditional date of January 20 falls on a Sunday, inaugural events take place the next day. Obama will be sworn in on the 20th in a private ceremony.

The band will march in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif., on January 1st.
