Nicholas Ravaioli, 30, entered his plea Thursday in Ocean County Superior Court, according to information from county Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato's office.

The sentence will be based on two second-degree counts of luring a child into a motor vehicle for the purpose of a criminal offense for, or with, a child.

Ravaioli has been behind bars since his arrest in 2013. He is scheduled for psychological evaluations before sentencing.

In addition to the prison term, prosecutors seek three years of concurrent parole eligibility on both counts, lifetime police supervision, registration under Megan's Law and a ban on contact with victims under Nicole's Law.

Ravaioli admitted enticing two Lakewood children into his pickup truck in the course of his plea, authorities said, though the probe encompassed five juveniles aged 10 to 15, authorities said. Ravaioli admitted engaging children waiting for school buses from his truck and coaxing them to climb in.

The matter came to light on September 10 when two girls in the township, aged 14 and 15, reported being propositioned within about an hour of each other.
