A Whiting woman is snagged by Manchester Police in a hit and run incident early this morning. Township Police say 41-year-old Sandra Schaible-Davis of Whiting  was operating a 1995 Buick Road Master that left the roadway at the intersection of Eagle and Bluebird lanes, knocked down a stop sign, caused extensive damage to her neighbor's porch on 16 Bluebird Lane before leaving the scene.

Police said they found Schaible-Davis's damaged vehicle and parked a short distance away in her driveway on Eagle Lane before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the collision and the residence itself was deemed safe and inhabitable following an inspection. An investigation is ongoing.
