Fugitive Sought since Tuesday Collared in Lakewood
Time on the lam runs out for a Bayville 22-year-old who evaded arrest by New Jersey State Police in Lakewood this past Tuesday.
Olajuwon M. Brown was captured late Wednesday night in Lakewood, according to NJSPD.
Brown faces a battery of charges lodged in Lakewood and Berkeley Township, including heroin and cocaine possession and distribution, weapons counts, eluding and terroristic threats. He was placed in the Ocean County Jail in toms River, with bail set at $425,000.
According to state police sources, Brown was sought as part of a larger drug probe and was one of three confronted Tuesday. Authorities say he slipped from their grasp after unleashing a vicious Rottweiler at them.
Members of the Lakewood Police Department, Ocean County Sheriff's Office and U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force were among those assisting state investigators.
