Former Lakewood VFW Trustee Faces Trial On Theft Charges

A former Lakewood VFW trustee heads to trial for allegedly pocketing a portion of the money from the sale of the group's building. 

A grand jury indicted 73-year-old Buford Cochran of Lakewood with two counts of theft and money laundering.  Reports say, Cochran facilitated the sale of the Post's Squankum Road property for over $740,000 and sent only $500,000 to the VFW post.
