Fire in Berkeley’s Holiday City Claims One Life
A structural fire in the Holiday City section of Berkeley claims the life of a township resident.
The Asbury Park Press reports the blaze started around 4 a.m. Saturday morning at the senior development center on Biabou Dr.
The victim is an unidentified male and believed to be the only person living at the residence.
Members of Bayville Fire Company No. 17 and Manchester Fire Company No. 32 responded to the scene, along with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Fire Marshal’s Office, and Sheriff’s Department.
One firefighter was injured and treated & released from Community Medical Center in Toms River.
One other home sufferd minor damaged by the fire which remains under investigation.
