DOT Officials May Temporarily Close Rt 35 Bridge

You may want to consider taking another way if you commute over the Route 35 Bridge between Point Pleasant and Brielle Thursday and Friday.

According to Point Pleasant Patch.com State Transportation officials (NJDOT) say their ongoing work may necessitate that they keep the bridge in the raised position for a few hours. If that happens, the bridge could be inaccessible from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The bridge was closed for several hours Wednesday for this very reason.
