Manchester Police release the identities of the victims in a three car crash that claimed the life of a passenger and left four others seriously injured Sunday night.

28-year-old Shannon Fenton of Brant Beach was injured after crossing from south bound Route 539 into the north bound lane colliding into a BMW and striking a Volkswagon Jetta head-on near milepost 21 at around 7:47 p.m. However, Patch.com is reporting that Fenton succumbed to her injuries later that night.

The collision also claimed the life of Jetta rear-seat passenger, 19-year-old Sefakor Mensah of Monroe. The driver of the Jetta, 19-year-old Alexandra Peroni of Norwalk, Connecticut and front seat passenger 19-year-old Danielle Godley of Floral Park, New York, are listed in stable condition at Community Medical Center in Toms River after sustaining multiple injuries.

The driver of the BMW, 51-year-old Claire Kinsella of New York sustained injuries to her head and chest but is listed in stable condition at Community Medical Center.

Assisting at the scene was the Whiting Volunteer Fire Department, Bamber Lake and Navy Lakehurst Fire Department, Paramedics from MONOC, Quality Medical Transport, the Ocean County Prosecutors Office, the Ocean County Criminalistic Investigation Unit, the NJ DOT Diversionary Team, and the Ocean County Road Department.

The crash remains under investigation by Patrolmen Paul Bachovchin and Patrolmen Ian Bole from the Manchester Township Traffic Safety Bureau.
