Ocean County investigators are hunting for the individual who ignited five paper decorations and flyers on a door on the Georgian Court University campus in Lakewood before dawn Sunday.

No one was hurt, according to information from the Ocean County Prosecutor's web page, and the heat wasn't enough to trigger fire-suppression systems except for smoke alarms. But the door inside Maria Hall is scorched and investigators are sure it wasn't spontaneous combustion.

Lakewood firefighters and police responded to the call at 3:28 AM, authorities said.

Preliminary investigations reveal no issues that would have resulted in retaliations, and the student residing in the room had no reason to expect any, according to authorities.

Prosecutor's spokesman Al Della Fave urges anyone with knowledge of the incident to call their offices in Toms River, 732-929-2027.
