Christmas Tree Disposal Schedule Posted in Toms River

That Yuletide evergreen has had its moment in the spotlight...all the decorations are packed away...now, what do we do with the tree? Toms River buildings and grounds officials will recycle those dropped off by township residents through January 31 at any of eight municipal parks.

Tree collection sites are set up at Skyview Park on Vaughn Avenue; Riverwood Park on Riverwood Drive; Silverton Park on Maine Street; Bay Lea Park on Bay Avenue; Winding River Park South, Route 37; Shelter Cove Park, Bay Avenue; Money Island Beach, Longfellow Avenue; and Chadwick Park on Strickland Avenue.

After January 31, they'll still accept trees at the township Recycling Convenience Center on Church Road.
