Brick Township pair suspected of pushing heroin
Two suspected heroin dealers in Brick Township await hearings in Ocean County Superior Court, following a raid that township police say revelaed 349 wax folds of the drug, along with Suboxone and syringes.
Ezra Figueroa, 21, and Jessica Fluet, 26, were arrested today in their living quarters in the Maple Leaf Condominium complex on Sawmill Road.
Members of the township Drug Enforcement Unit and Special Emergency Response Team, using a search warrant after a probe of drug distribution in the vicinity, found the unit equipped with a reinforced door and surveillance equipment, authorities said.
Bail was set at $50,000 for Figueroa, $25,000 for Fluet. They were placed in the Ocean County Jail on charges of possession with intent to distribute less than one half-ounce of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic syringes, fortified premises, and two counts of possession of heroin and Suboxone.
Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
