man behind bars. 19-year-old Tyler Anderson of Cliffside Park was arrested Wednesday, February 5th after computer forensics experts tracked him down to his house. Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato and Beachwood Police Chief Robert Tapp said Anderson is accused of utilizing three separate Facebook accounts to send pornographic materials to underage females within Ocean County.

Coronato and Tapp said, the investigation began in November of 2013 when a Beachwood mother told police about pornography and graphic sexual dialog sent to her 10-year-old daughter during a Facebook chat from an unknown male. Beachwood Police contacted the Ocean County High Tech Crime Unit (HTCU) for assistance and Detectives through computer forensics were able to capture the identity of the sender.

Anderson was arrested when multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant of his Fairview Lane residence this morning.  They also seized evidence in the case. Anderson faces 3rd Degree Child Endangerment and 3rd Degree Distribution of Obscenity to Persons Under the Age of 18.

According to the HTCU, the charges allege that Anderson's activity began when he befriended an underage girl from Ocean County on Facebook. Anderson's network of befriended young girls between the ages of 10 and 14 soon expanded to hundreds in Ocean County by creating two additional Facebook accounts under the assumed identities of Alec Rivera and Eric Plato. In many cases pornography was exchanged, explained officials.

Anderson is in the Ocean County Jail with bail set by Municipal Court Judge James Gluck at $20,000. As part of the bail condition Anderson will be prohibited from having any contact with the victim.

Meanwhile, officials said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about Anderson's activity is asked to contact Detective James Hill of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office at 732-929-2027 or Detective Sean Lagan of the Beachwood Police Department at 732-286-6000.
