Someone blithely bought about $1,300 worth of electronic goods in a Verizon Store in Brick Township, and paid cash. Turns out they were counterfeit hundreds. Now, there's a hunt on to find the big spender.

It happened on December 8 in the shop at 481 Route 70, police said. They didn't disclose the time of day, the items involved, whether the suspect left on foot or by car, or whether they have any leads on the origin of the bogus bills.

However, they did capture some clear images on surveillance equipment in the store. Check them out and if you recognize him, Detective Greg Mullarkey wants to hear from you. He can be reached at 732-262-1122.
