Attempted Jackson Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

Jackson Police arrest a township man for Wednesday's attempted bank robbery at the Santander branch on Brewers Bridge Road.

According to the Jackson Police Facebook Page, 40-year-old Ryan Higgins was taken into custody at around 2:14 p.m. at his Valley Road home this afternoon by Jackson Police Detectives and Patrol Officers.

Public Information Officer Lieutenant Steven Laskiewicz said they identified Higgins as their main suspect after receiving multiple tips from the public who responded to the surveillance images they released.

Higgins is being charged with criminal attempted robbery and is being lodged in the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $100,000
