A Little Egg Harbor Man is accused of hitting a Lanoka Harbor resident with his car on Monday, and driving another mile and a half with the man stuck halfway through his windshield.The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said Ocean Township police were informed of an erratic driver traveling northbound on Route 9.

While trying to find the erratic driver, police saw Marcos A. Ortega, 33, of Little Egg Harbor driving with what appeared to be a person lying on the hood of a vehicle. When a traffic stop was done, it was reveled Kenneth C. Moeller, 61, of Lanoka Harbor was lodged halfway through Ortega's windshield.

Waretown Volunteer fire crews and first aid assisted in extracting Moeller, who was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in critical condition.

A field sobriety test determined that Ortega was impaired.

Ortega is charged with Leaving the Scene of a Motor vehicle Crash and Causing Serious Bodily Injury to Another While Driving Under the Influence. Bail was set at $150,000 with no 10% option.
