One person was killed and several injured in a head - on crash on Route 70 in Manchester Township Saturday afternoon.

Manchester Township Police say Jason E. Feliciano, 28, of Philadelphia was traveling eastbound on Route 70 when he attempted to pass several cars in front of him. He hit a 2004 Chrysler Sebring being driven by Elizabeth M. Froelich, of Browns Mills head-on flipping one of the cars over.

Feliciano was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River where he was pronounced dead. His passenger, girlfriend Janoris Baez, 23, suffered neck and back injuries. Three young children also in the car age 4,5 and 6 were not in proper child restraints but were wearing seat belts.

The 6-year-old suffered a serious head injury in the crash according to Manchester Police. They were all taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

Froelich was alone in her car and reported arm, wrist and collar bone injuries.She was also taken to Community Medical Center.

The crash closed Route 70 through Manchester for several hours.

Manchester Police are still investigating the accident and ask anyone with information about to call them at 732-657-2009.
