Brick Township Police are investigating an accident involving a utility truck that occurred early Saturday morning on Brick Boulevard.

Police say a JCP+L truck was struck from behind while stopped at a red light. 37 year old Jason Schroyer of Toms River was driving the vehicle that rammed the truck.

A pinned Schroyer was then extricated from his car by fire and police crews. Schroyer is being treated at Jersey Shore University Medical Center for several bone fractures.

The truck driver,  Edward Murray, and his passenger were unharmed.
