Ok I see and hear, more bulldozers and construction in Lakewood. This latest construction is located along Route 70 in Lakewood, New Jersey. We look forward to see if you at home have any information for us on this latest project in Ocean County. Is it a construction boom here at the Jersey Shore?

This project is along Route 70 in Lakewood near New Hampshire Avenue. I spotted this latest project during a trip to Trader Joe's in Brick last week. I spotted all the construction vehicles and this area being cleared on Route 70 in Lakewood, Eastbound, heading towards Brick Township.

So as we like to do quite often when we spot unknown construction, we throw it out there for you to help us discover the plan. Local residents always get the scoop and usually have some insight into what's happening in their town.

So what do you think about this latest one in Lakewood? It is just down from another housing project going up in Lakewood, so maybe this is a commercial project with retailers coming in? Could it be even more housing? That would make for a huge population increase if all this construction is "housing", but again I am only speculating. We would love to hear your insights and what you have heard around town. Post your comments below and share with others :)

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
