A few weeks ago we passed along the word that had been circulating that Wolfie's Deli would be closing at the end of October.

As I'm writing this article it's November 6th, and a quick stop by the Toms River location of the Ocean County landmark seems to confirm that:

With simple handwritten "Closed" signs attached to the two corner doors and a collection of kitchen equipment behind the popular Route 37 restaurant, it would appear that those rumors have been confirmed.

Of course, Wolfie's Deli prospered in Ocean County for more than 50 years first in Brick then in Toms River before a sale of the current location on Route 37 last fall which was followed by the rumors of the permanent closure gathering steam just a few weeks ago.
