Three is definitely not a charm for a Whiting man charged with robbing the same pharmacy on three separate occasions. Manchester Township Police tracked 60-year-old Peter Lucia through surveillance video images after allegedly hitting up the Medicine Shoppe on Lacey Road again on Saturday, October 18th.

According to a police report, the store's owner noticed a man inside the closed business while viewing a remote video feed at around 3:38 p.m. on Saturday but when police arrived, they found the glass door shattered and the suspect gone. However, investigators were able to get a good description of the suspect and a vehicle used in the burglary through the feed.

As a result, a patrol officers spotted a vehicle matching the description on Columbine Avenue in Whiting but determined that its owner was in a hospital on an unrelated matter. Police charged Lucia after questioning with three counts of burglary and three counts of criminal mischief. Bail is set at $15,000.
