Back in the spring, we told you about the plans that German mega-mart company Lidl has been making for their first foray into the Garden State, which included plans for a location in Lacey Township.

Well, it's been 5 months since that first report, and not a whole lot is going on at the proposed Route 9 location.

So what's up?

While Germany's answer to Wal-Mart is building at a decent clip in other parts of New Jersey, including an upcoming location in Vineland that's already starting to hire, there hasn't been a lot to see for the locations that were slated for Lacey, Eatontown, and Hazelt.

According to a recent report in USAToday, all three are in various stages of planning, and in the case of the Lacey plans, possible litigation.

You can check out the whole story from USAToday by clicking here, and if you live in Southern Ocean County, you could consider the upcoming Vineland store, which our sister station 96.9 WFPG has info on here.
