Water mains and pipes getting replaced by SUEZ in Toms River

SUEZ Water Crews have begun a water infrastructure improvement project in Toms River to replace 2,400 feet of aging water main.

The work will take place through May between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm each day along Bay Breeze Drive, Cattus Street, Longman Street and Sea Breeze Drive.

"While small water systems across the country often lack the resources needed to maintain reliable service, SUEZ is taking a proactive approach," SUEZ Director of Operations Jim Mastrokalos said. "These upgrades will help ensure that out customers will be served by a system that provides exceptional water quality and will continue to be reliable for many years to come."

Mastrokalos said these capital improvements underway are a continuation of a local $4,500,000.00 water main upgrade program as they replace the 2,400 feet of 8-inch ductile iron water  pipe, add two fire hydrants and renew about 50 water services through May of this year.

SUEZ says they will alert customers in advance regarding specific dates and times when water will be temporally shut off.
