You've probably noticed over the last few days, the large objects in downtown Toms River covered in green tarps (Sue Moll put the question out there the other day). Well, today we got a look at exactly what was under those tarps. The Downtown Toms River Business Improvement District cut the ribbon on

"Celebrating the Familiar", a sculpture series by noted artist Seward Johnson.

The statues depict scenes of everyday life, from a pair of businessmen reading the paper to a friendly neighborhood policeman, and a woman reading a book on the grass.

The exhibition will be on display throughout Toms River through the Summer.

Check out the ribbon cutting below, and be sure to visit Toms River to see the unique works of art.
