While Hurricane Joaquin took a turn to the East and spared Ocean County, the storm out to sea still caused rough ocean conditions which lead to a dramatic rescue at the Manasquan Inlet earlier today.

A U.S. Coast Guard Mid-Atlantic crew was on a routine training mission Sunday afternoon when they noticed a jetski marooned on the rocks without a rider on it. Once they spotted the man in the rough surf, dangerously close to the rocks, the dramatic rescue was quickly on.

Jet skier rescued in Manasquan Inlet, NJ

This afternoon one of our U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City crews was on a routine flight when they spotted a jet skier caught in the surf near Manasquan Inlet. His jet ski was trapped against the rocks and he was drifting rapidly towards the rocks. Our U.S. Coast Guard crews leapt into action - find out what happened next!
