Class A North

No. 2 Marlboro 77, Freehold Twp. 56

Senior Zach Molod scored a game-high 24 points and the Mustangs (19-2, 11-1) completed their Class A North championship regular season with a win over the Patriots (12-8, 7-5).

Senior Jack Seidler added 19 points, senior Vin Spatola chipped in 11 and senior Jon Spatola poured in nine for Marlboro. Senior Jay Ratner also netted eight points in the win.

Senior Jayden Holmes-Cotter led Freehold Township with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Senior Ryan Keegan added 11 points and junior Malachi Harris and senior Sean Keegan each contributed eight in the loss.

 

Class A Central

No. 8 Raritan 48, Matawan 30

Senior Justin Rivera scored 15 points on Senior Night and the Rockets (14-5, 5-4) topped the Huskies (2-18, 0-10).

No. 3 Rumson-Fair Haven 76, Shore 41

Senior Geoff Schroeder scored 23 points, including the 1,00th of his career, as the Bulldogs (15-2, 8-1) rolled past the Blue Devils (10-10, 2-8) for their 12th straight win.

Schroeder's milestone came on a corner three-pointer off a dish from classmate Owen Sullivan early in the third quarter, which was his last shot of the game with Rumson up big.

Senior Scott Gyimesi added 21 points -- all coming in the first half -- for Rumson, which led, 46-12, at the break.

Sophomore Alex George led Shore with nine points.

 

Class A South

Toms River North 65, Toms River East 50

Senior Ryan Baker scored 16 points and handed out eight assists to spark the Mariners (10-11, 6-6) to a win over the Raiders (4-15, 2-10), setting them up to qualify for the Shore Conference Tournament if they can win Sunday at home against Donovan Catholic.

Junior Delani Hyde added nine points and 13 rebounds for Toms River North.

Junior Manny Vargas led Toms River East with 13 points and six assists.

Brick Memorial 34, Southern 31

Senior Brian Starrett scored six of his 12 points in the third quarter and the Mustangs (15-4, 10-2) overcame a struggle on the offensive end to beat the Rams (9-9, 6-6) and clinch the program's first outright Class A South title since 2008-09.

Senior Luke Braaten added 10 points and blocked Southern's attempt to tie the game on a corner three-point attempt in the final seconds.

Senior Nick Devane led Southern with 12 points and classmate Jaden Anthony added nine in the loss.

 

Class B North

Neptune 59, Freehold Boro 32

Senior Dan Moran led a balanced scoring effort with 11 points and the Scarlet Fliers (4-12, 3-7) coasted to a win over the Colonials (0-20, 0-9) that snaps a seven-game losing streak.

Senior Oneil Campbell and junior C.J. Argilagos each added nine points for Neptune, while junior Jason Neal threw in eight in the win.

Junior Mike Bisaha and junior Will Hon each scored seven points to lead Freehold Boro.

Red Bank 53, Middletown North 51 (OT)

Junior Nick Valentino scored 16 points and the Bucs (11-7, 7-3) battled their way past the Lions (10-8, 7-3) for their sixth win in the last seven games.

Senior Brian Tobin added 14 points and junior Collin Teter pitched in eight for Red Bank.

Senior Matt Kenny led Middletown North with 15 points, while junior Zac Searight added 12 and senior Colin Devine netted nine in the loss.

 

Class B Central

Henry Hudson 57, Keansburg 47

Freshman Jack Fitzpatrick scored 17 points and the Admirals (4-15, 1-10) put away the Titans (5-13, 2-9) to secure their first Class B Central divisional win since Feb. 5, 2019, snapping a 22-game divisional losing streak.

Junior Jax Ross added 12 points, classmate Luke Jaccodine added 10 and both seniors Demitrius Harvey and Quinn Casey chipped in eight apiece for Henry Hudson.

Junior Jaheim Hill carried Keansburg with a game-high 32 points.

No. 9 Ranney 81, Point Beach 49

Senior T.J. Braswell-Brown scored 20 points and junior Isaac Hester posted a triple-double to lead the Panthers (15-3, 11-0) past the Garnet Gulls (8-7, 5-5), clinching their fourth straight outright B Central division championship.

Hester finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while sophomore Drew Buck also contributed 13 points for Ranney.

Junior Kevin Burns led Point Beach with 11 points.

 

Class B South

Brick 52, Barnegat 38

Junior Alex Jenkoski scored a game-high 24 points and the Green Dragons (9-10, 6-6) upended the Bengals (4-17, 2-9) to climb within a game of .500 with one left to play before the Shore Conference Tournament cutoff.

Senior R.J. Reinhold added 14 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for Brick, which takes on crosstown rival Brick Memorial on Saturday night needing a win to get into the SCT.

Freshman Cole Toddings led Barnegat with 13 points.

Pinelands 46, Lakewood 22

Seniors Darren Barreau and Collin Reid each scored 10 points and the Wildcats (8-8, 6-5) rolled past the Piners (1-13, 0-11) to clinch a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Senior Aiden Skeie also scored eight points, while junior Derrick Marsh led Lakewood with eight.

No. 10 Manchester 73, Lacey 37

Senior D'Maari Brown scored 22 points and broke the single-season program record with his 61st three-pointer to lead the Hawks (15-4, 12-0) past the Lions (7-13, 4-6) to close out a perfect run through the Class B South schedule.

Senior Savon Myers also poured in 21 points and senior Amari Petty added 13 for Manchester.

Junior Chris Venturoso led Lacey with 12 points.

 

Class C North

Jackson Liberty 54, Ocean 49

Senior Dahkareo Pritchett poured in 17 points and classmate Phanique Dupree added 14 as the Lions (13-7, 6-6) outlasted the Spartans (2-16, 2-10).

Freshman Jayson King chipped in nine points, including seven from the free-throw line to help close out the game in the fourth quarter.

Freshman Zayier Dean led Ocean with a game-high 28 points.

Point Boro 58, Monmouth 39

Senior Colton MacGlashan scored 14 of his game-high 16 points in the second half and the Panthers (16-2, 10-2) coasted to a win over the Falcons (9-10, 6-6).

Junior Stephen Mellet added 12 points and senior Kai Messeroll pitched in 11 for Point Boro.

Junior Ta'haj Wiggins led Monmouth with 14 points and 10 rebounds while senior Kevin Telesford chipped in 11 and six.

No. 5 Manasquan 55, St. Rose 33

Freshman Darius Adams scored 19 points and the Warriors (16-4, 12-0) shook off a slow start to storm past the Purple Roses (9-9, 5-6).

Senior Matt Solomon added 13 points and seven rebounds for Manasquan, which closed the first half on a 15-3 run to turn a 15-10 deficit into a 25-18 halftime lead.

Seniors Luke Farrell, Nick DiNatale and Colin Westhoven each scored seven points to lead St. Rose.

 

Non-Division

No. 4 St. John Vianney 65, Howell 61

Senior Nate Williams made another run at a triple-double and settled for 31 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and eight steals in a hard-fourth win for the Lancers (18-4) over the Rebels (10-8).

Junior Connor Howard added 12 points and senior Omar Calderon chipped in nine for St. John Vianney, which built a 33-20 lead by the midway point of the second quarter only to watch Howell rally to tie the game at 50 by the end of the third. St. John Vianney started the third quarter with seven straight points and never gave up the lead again.

Junior Damien Padilla led Howell with 20 points and 12 rebounds, powered by five three-pointers. Senior Dylan McVeigh added 17 points, five assists and four steals for the Rebels, while senior Joe Dupuis contributed 12 points and nine rebounds in the loss.

 

Non-Conference

No. 1 Red Bank Catholic 56, Monsignor Farrell (N.Y.) 41

Seniors C.J. Ruoff and Cyril Arvanitis each scored 14 points and the Caseys (19-3) cruised to a win over Monsignor Farrell to close out their regular season before turning their attention to the Shore Conference Tournament.

Sophomore Gioacchino Panzini added 11 points, senior Alex Bauman scored nine and sophomore Tyler Burnham chipped in eight for Red Bank Catholic.

Holmdel 64, Franklin 54

Sophomore Nick Seeloch scored 19 points and the Hornets (12-8) topped the Warriors (11-7) for their third straight road win over a team with a winning record this week.

Freshman Evan Romano added 15 points and sophomore James Vallillo chipped in 13 for Holmdel.
