TOMS RIVER - A strong wind advisory has been issued for most of central and south Jersey this morning. It remains in effect for Ocean, Monmouth, Burlington and Atlantic counties from now until 10 o'clock tonight. It was one year ago today that the Garden State was digging out from a crippling snow storm that kept many stuck in the house for days. Now a year later, temperatures remain unseasonably warm for the month of December.

ASBURY PARK - A mother and her three children are homeless after a fire rips through their Asbury Park home. Police say it happened yesterday on Comstock Street. The cause is under investigation. No one was injured.

TOMS RIVER - Toms River police are investigating reports that six unlocked vehicles were entered in the Pleasant Plains section of town on Christmas. The vehicles were parked on Medjay Street and the Liberty Village community road. A GPS device, wallet and credit card were stolen. Anyone with information should call 732-349-0150.

TRENTON - A judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by one of the state's most notorious convicted murderers. Michael LaSane had claimed state prison officials failed to provide proper treatment after his dental surgery. LaSane was convicted in the 1996 slaying of an Ocean County schoolteacher who secretly recorded the crime.

LAKEWOOD- Lakewood Police are searching for two men who crashed into a car on Christmas night and left the scene. They believe the driver was under the influence of alcohol. A woman in the other car was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Police say it happened near Ocean County Park on Route 88. Authorities say they're looking for a 2000 Cadillac Deville.

STAFFORD - A Christmas Day blaze damages a Stafford Township home. The Ocean County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause. The Stoaway Road home in the Manahawkin section of town was severely damaged. The house was vacant and was in the process of being sold.
