TR School Board Considers Filing Suit Against Clean Slate Candidates

The Toms River School Board is considering filing a lawsuit against three school board candidates.

According to the Asbury Park Press, the board recently met in special session to discuss a filing motion against 'Clean Slate' candidates Ginny Rhine, Joe Torrone and Gigi Esparza for sending a political email blast to residents and a number of school district employees through their work email addresses. A school spokesperson says it's a violation of district policy. In 2009, the school district obtained a superior court injunction against two school board candidates for similar reasons.
