Toms River’s Mr. Falafel Appears To Have Closed

It's only been a little over 2 months since Toms River's Morocco Local Grill became Mr. Falafel, but it would seem that the doors have closed for the Main Street Middle Eastern cuisine spot.

I first noticed that the lights were off earlier this week.

It caught my attention because I drive past every day right around lunch time, so it would be unusual for a downtown restaurant to be closed during the busiest time of the day.

A few days later I noticed that the restaurant was not only still dark, but a realtor's sign had gone up in the front window as well.

The most recent post on their Facebook page is dated April 24th, just under 3 weeks after their grand opening.

I called the listed number for the restaurant and was met with a "this number is no longer in service" message, and emails requesting comment have not been returned as of this writing.

If I do hear more on the status of Mr. Falafel, I'll keep you updated!
