These 11 NJ Towns May Be Completely Underwater In 75 Years
WILL THESE NEW JERSEY TOWNS DISAPPEAR INTO THE OCEAN?
This is a scary thought, several New Jersey towns may be gone as they could be underwater in the years to come. How many years before these towns disappear, some say in 75 years?

According to an article from NJ.com, "A federal report from 2022 said it is increasingly likely that the sea level along U.S. coasts — including New Jersey — will rise at least 2 feet by the end of this century due to human-caused climate change." There are 11 towns here in the Garden State that could be gone because they will be underwater in the next 75 years.
The 11 Towns That Could Be Gone
Lavallette (Ocean County)
Manasquan (Monmouth County)
Union Beach (Monmouth County)
Cape May (Cape May County)
Ocean City (Cape May County)
Wildwood (Cape May County)
Fortescue (Cumberland County)
Little Ferry/MetLife Stadium (Bergen County)
Pennsville Township (Salem County)
Sea Isle City (Cape May County)

It looks like Cape May County stands to have the most towns underwater with five. Villas, Sea Isle City, Ocean City, Wildwood, and Cape May are on the list of the 11. The NJ.com article added, "To explore the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration interactive tool, which provides readers with a way to see what future rising temperatures could mean for melting ice and by extension rising ocean levels on Jersey’s coast, click here."
In addition, "The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has its own sea level rise resources page at https://dep.nj.gov/slr/."
