Terrifying Dashcam Video From New Jersey's Windy Weather

As we're dealing with some more heavy weather today, the rain and high winds may remind you of the extreme winds that we had to deal with last week.

As I'm watching the flag on the Toms River whip in the wind, I think about the many times I've driven in weather like this, and how lucky most of us are to get to our destinations safely.

But one New Jersey driver wasn't so lucky last week.

WABC-TV's meteorologist Lee Goldberg shared this video from a dashcam in Boonton, NJ, that shows how dangerous it really can be to be out and about in those extreme weather conditions.

So important to be alert while driving. The Boonton Police Department released this dashcam footage taken during yesterday's high wind event. It's also a good idea to consider alternate routes away from wooded areas when weather conditions like this are forecast.
