The Jersey shore already has a number of famous shipwrecks. From the Morro Castle to The New Era. But nobody was expecting what was just unearthed in Brick.
On September 8th, 1934, the residents of Asbury Park witnessed a disaster that the whole Jersey shore wouldn't soon forget. The SS Morro Castle luxury liner was crippled by flames within view of the beach, boardwalk, and Paramount Theater & Convention Hall, taking 135 lives with it.
