There are few more iconic photos of the post-Sandy Shore than the now-famous picture of the Jet Star roller coaster silently sitting in the surf. Well, when Casino Pier decided to bring a roller coaster back to the Seaside Heights boardwalk, they thought big!

New Jersey's Carnival and Amusement Safety Unit inspects every ride in the state at the beginning of the season.

Several hundred students from across the globe will intersect at the Jersey Shore this summer and work the boards and beach. Some foreigners have already made their way over for preseason prep work.

At the beginning of February, at least 1,600 jobs were up for grabs at boardwalk piers in Seaside Heights and the Wildwoods.

It may seem like things go quiet at the beaches and boardwalks when winter rolls around, but workers have been busy in Seaside Heights as we realize that it's never too early to start counting down to summer 2017!

While awaiting documents related to the appeal of their proposed land swap with operators of Casino Pier, Seaside Heights officials reiterate their case that the plan is by the book, and in the best interests of the borough and of tourism.

The proposed land swap in Seaside Heights that would permit expansion of Casino Pier faces a court challenge filed by two environmental advocacy groups.
