The Jersey Shore BlueClaws started out in 2001 when a minor league team moved from North Carolina to Lakewood, New Jersey, and became the Lakewood BlueClaws. They’ve been a Phillies affiliate from day one, serving as a stepping stone for players working their way up to the big leagues.

Over the years, the team built a strong local following, won a few league championships in the 2000s, and became a big part of the Shore sports scene. In 2020, they rebranded to the Jersey Shore BlueClaws to represent the whole coastal region. They now play at ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood and continue to be a fun, family-friendly baseball tradition in Ocean County.
