As Route 70 filled with cars during the rush-hour this Thursday, the area around Princeton Avenue also filled with smoke, sirens, and firetrucks.

According to Shorebeat.com, a fire broke out near Green Cove Marina off of Princeton Avenue when a utility pole broke out in smoke and flames.

According to Brick fire officials, crews were working on the utility pole earlier on Thursday, and when the power was turned back on, sparks ignited the brush and grass around the pole.
