Point Beach Mayor Thinks Politics At Play In State Bar Hours Ruling
The Mayor of Point Pleasant Beach is questioning the state's decision to delay a midnight bar closing in the borough.
Vincent Barrella believes it could be politically motivated protecting business profits at the cost of public safety reports the Asbury Park Press. He specifically wondered if Alcoholic Beverage Control Director Michael Halfacre's former position as Fair Haven's Mayor and his relationships with current Council members influenced Halfacre's decision.
