Hot on the heels this week of the parent company of Perkins restaurants filing for bankruptcy and announcing that 10 Perkins restaurants will be closing, Pizza Hut just announced that they could close hundreds of restaurants.

The story from industry site Food Business News quotes company executives as saying that the brand is planning to focus more on take-out and delivery, and less on dine-in Pizza Hut restaurants.

The number of dine-in restaurants that could close is pretty stunning, too.

According to reports, up to 500 Pizza Hut restaurants could be shuttered.

While the reports didn't target specific locations that could be closing, it's worth noting that Ocean County is home to a pair of dine-in Pizza Hut restaurants, one on Route 37 in Toms River, and another on Brick Boulevard in Brick.
