The parent company of Perkins restaurants filed for bankruptcy yesterday and will be closing 10 of the restaurant and bakery locations.

According to Reuters, Perkins & Marie Callender’s Holding LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday (August 5th).

Along with the filing came a list of 19 Marie Callendar's restaurants that will close, with most being in California, and 10 Perkins restaurants that will close between Florida, Wisconsin, Kansas, and Minnesota.

There are two Perkins locations in Ocean County; one on Route 37 in Toms River, and one on Route 9 in Forked River, both of which will remain open for now.
