Daniel and Malissa O'Hara of Drexel Street were released without bail after being taken into custody Friday and charged with one count of Theft by Deception and one count of Misapplication of Entrusted Property, both third degree crimes.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, "the investigation revealed that between May 2014 and October 2014 the O'Hara's spent more than $3,600 in funds for personal use that belonged to the Central Burlington Girls Fastpitch Softball League. David O'Hara was President at the time and Malissa O'Hara was Treasurer of the organization."

"The money was spent to buy gasoline, cigarettes, movie tickets, groceries and also pay a cell phone bill, a car insurance bill, a veterinary bill and a cable television bill," according to the press release.

"The O'Hara's were removed from their positions as members of the league's board of directors."

The case will now be referred to a Burlington County Grand Jury for possible indictment.
