Officials with the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and the Pemberton Township Police Department are hoping a $5,000 reward will help them solve a homicide that happened last year.

In the early morning hours of November 3rd, authorities say Shaimere Turner of Camden, who was staying with relatives in Pemberton, was the front-seat passenger in a vehicle that was struck by gunfire in the 100 block of Kinsley Road. The driver, who was the only other person in the vehicle at the time, fled the scene and headed towards the township's police department. Unfortunately, Turner died before they arrived.

Recently, cops went door-to-door in that neighborhood handing out flyers in hopes that a $5,000 reward will convince anyone with information will come forward and help identify the killer.

Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said in a statement, "Somebody out there possesses the details that can assist us in bringing charges for the slaying of Mr. Turner. Any bit of information could be helpful to this investigation. I strongly urge those with knowledge of this homicide to come forward and cooperate with law enforcement."

The reward money will only be given if the information that is provided leads to an arrest and a conviction.

Those with information about this homicide are asked to call the Pemberton Township Police Department’s confidential tip line at (609) 894-3352 or Burlington County Central Communications at (609) 265-7113.
