I've always thought that it was cool to see behind the scenes as filmmakers transform normal streets into big screen movie sets.

That's exactly what's going on right now in Paterson as Steven Spielberg changes the modern Garden State city into 1950's New York City for his remake of West Side Story.

Earlier today, NJ.com posted a video of some of the action as colorful dancers spun through the streets and vintage cars passed by.

Oh yeah, and Bruce Springsteen stopped by to hang out.

According to NJ.com, the movie, which stars Clifton native Rachel Zegler will be filming in New Jersey for a few more weeks and is currently scheduled for a December 2020 release.
